The Fleet and Asset Maintenance Technician is a cross-functional role extending our internal maintenance operation to all portable assets. This position is integral to our continued growth and is directly driven by our company values of Multiple Brands as Experience, Elements of Comfort, and Sustainability as a Lens for Innovation. As our business lines grow beyond the traditional food truck, we must continue to deliver turn-key results for our clients: interior carts, catering stalls, mobile appliances, tools, vehicles, and portable infrastructure require consistent, trackable, and quantifiable maintenance and repair.  Reporting under the current fleet maintenance team, this role reflects all of the standard maintenance technician responsibilities but will be primarily focused on non-vehicle related mobile infrastructure, special projects, and future implementations.

Additionally, occasional nights and weekends may be required to support company events and operations.

The Facilities General Manager is responsible for all aspects of  our new 14,000 square foot facility at 220 Shaw Avenue in South San Francisco. This includes effective use of space, coordination among teams, facilities upkeep and maintenance contracts, security contracts and vendor management, code compliance, and landlord relations. Responsible for hands-on management of equipment and building systems maintenance and upkeep, as well as management of budgets associated with facilities. Manage facilities related projects and communicate to stakeholders.   Reporting to the Director of Programs, this position works closely with multiple departments, including Culinary Operations, Onsite Operations (Mobile Food and Flex Sites, Manufacturing, and Employee Experience among others) to ensure aligned workflow and support is provided.

The position is directly responsible for ensuring all assigned deployment projects are completed on-time, within budget, and that all stakeholders understand and complete assigned tasks according to agreed upon milestones. The Deployments and Implementation Specialist will be responsible for tactical and operational execution on behalf of the project Host to include: - 60%Project management for all new service, locations, and/or client launches - 20%Management of all relevant workflows with internal business partners to ensure projects are on schedule and on budget - 10%Communicating and partnering with Executive Team on deployment timelines and milestones - 10%Serve as a key POC for the client, vendors, and other external stakeholders throughout the planning and launch phases of new service activations   The Deployments and Implementation Specialist will work closely with Off the Grid Culinary and Operations teams to launch new services of the most innovative mobile food program in the employee food experience space. TheDeployments and Implementation Specialist  will focus on operational excellence with a sustainable and scalable approach, along with a continued innovative approach to execute to the Off the Grid’s needs. The success of the position will largely be based on the Director’s ability to complete multiple, concurrent deployments on-time and within budget while effectively communicating to stakeholders and exerting influence to overcome any variances or delaysDeployments and Implementation Specialist Our operations take place over a broad geographical area. This position is based primarily in San Francisco, but may require frequent travel between locations throughout the Bay Area. Responsibilities include safely transporting of food and supplies from commissaries and service location, vehicle washing and light maintenance, refueling of vehicles (diesel, gas and/or propane).    As a Crew Member you’ll participate in service duties from our Interior Cart to provide food in unique circumstances to our client. The Crew Member is responsible for all aspects of guest experience for multiple interior locations. The PM (Evening) Lead Maintenance Tech is responsible for leading the evening food truck maintenance shift under the supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Manager. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, leadership, organization, and communication skills. The PM Lead Maintenance Tech will coordinate with the daytime crew to smoothly handoff in-progress repairs to the evening team members, and then lead those repairs and maintenance through the shift. This team member will also coordinate with external repair facilities for heavy mechanical maintenance, including picking up/dropping of vehicles, authorizing repairs, and coordinating with operations managers to ensure asset availability the following morning.

Off the Grid’s Class B Driver is responsible for transporting and loading/unloading Cubert, our mobile pop up venue, to and from our public Market events and our warehouse. This position is a crucial part of the Cubert Logistics team to ensure accuracy of load and reports directly into the Cubert Logistics Manager.   This position will also act as the supervisor on shift, maintaining professional and proactive communication between the team and Cubert Logistics Manager. The Lead Driver will be responsible for holding the team accountable to time and attendance guidelines, as well as maintaining a safe and professional work environment.   The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-starter who can work under minimal supervision. You have 3 years of commercial truck driving experience, including experience operating 26’ straight or box trucks and a clean driving record. You hold a valid and active Class B CDL or higher with Airbrake endorsement, and if you don’t currently hold an active forklift certification, you have used forklifts in the past to transport goods.   You’re also excited to be an integral part of a growing events company, and you thrive in indoor/outdoor, unconventional workspaces. After initial training and development phases, operational responsibilities include production planning and execution, purchasing and inventory, quality assurance and brand management, safety and sanitation controls, vehicle and equipment upkeep, and management of staff. These operations will likely occur over a broad geographic area, and as a result will require travel between locations and communication with onsite staff to ensure tasks are being performed adequately.   In addition, the Entrepreneur prepares for the eventuality of launching an independent business at the end of their 18 to 24 month tenure with Instrucktional, and must therefore pass various reviews and checkpoints at fixed intervals along the way. In order to adequately prepare themselves for success the Entrepreneur is often expected to work outside of their regular schedule.
